  • What is the PLAY'A app?
    PLAY'A is a high-performance VR video player with a built-in web browser, designed for deep, immersive VR experiences.
  • Is the PLAY'A app free?
    PLAY'A is completely free, with no subscriptions or hidden fees. Experience all the power of VR and the full functionality of our app without any additional cost.
  • Which devices are supported?
    Our app is compatible with Meta Quest 2, Quest 3, Quest Pro, HTC Vive, Valve Index, Oculus Rift S, Apple Vision Pro, and devices running Android, iOS, and Windows. For assistance with device compatibility, contact our support team.
  • What controllers can I connect to use PLAY'A on my smartphone?
    PLAY'A is fully compatible with Xbox controllers and PlayStation DualShock 4 and DualSense controllers. Other Bluetooth controllers might work, but we cannot guarantee their compatibility.
  • How do I install PLAY'A on my Meta Quest 2/Meta Quest 3?
    Here are three ways to download PLAY'A on your Meta Quest 2/3/Pro: From the Meta Horizon App: Open the Meta Horizon App on your phone, search for "PLAY'A Video Player," and download it. The app will automatically install on your Meta Quest 2/3/Pro. From the Meta Oculus Browser: Open the Meta Quest browser and visit https://www.playavr.com/ or https://www.oculus.com/experiences/quest/344769151869386 From the Meta App Store: 1. Turn on your Meta Quest headset. 2. Open the App Store. 3. Search for "PLAY'A Video Player." 4. Scroll down to "More apps and Games" in the search results. 5.   • How do I add a website?
    To add a new website to PLAY'A, go to the app's main page, click "Add New Website," and enter the website URL. Please note that not all websites are fully supported. If you encounter any issues, contact the website's customer support first to confirm whether their site is compatible with our app.
  • The website is already added, but I can’t find it anywhere in the app. What should I do?
    Please check the "Security" tab in the "Settings" of our app. Make sure “Allow NSFW content” is enabled. After that, all sites should appear.
  • When I try to add a website in the app, I get an error: "The PLAY'A app doesn't support this website. Do you want to open it via WebView?" What does this mean?
    If you're unable to open a specific website within our app, it might be because the website doesn't use our API. Please contact the website's customer support to confirm whether their site is compatible with our app.
  • What is "WebView"?
    WebView is a component that allows apps to display web content within a native application interface. WebView functions like a web browser and allows users to open websites that may not be supported directly within the app.
  • I added a website, but I can't log in. How can I restore my password?
    The login process occurs on the websites you have linked to PLAY'A. We do not have access to manage your account on those websites. If you need help, please contact the website's customer support.
  • Why am I unable to play full videos on the website that I added?
    Firstly, make sure you are logged into the website. Many websites require a subscription for access to full videos. If you are logged in but still unable to view full videos, please contact the website's customer support for assistance with your account.
  • How can I report a technical issue with the app?
    The easiest way to report a bug is by sending a bug report. Tap the 'bug' icon in the top right corner of the app to submit detailed information for investigation. Alternatively, you can use the website’s contact form. Please include your device type, device ID, app version, and a clear description of the issue.
  • "Can't detect API" (Message inside the App)
    Probably the website is not connected to PLAY’A App :( Our app is being used with many websites via an API system, we have no control over the sites that are integrated with our App. If you are looking to add a specific website or download videos, please contact the website you are trying to download from.
  • How do I find my device ID?
    To locate your device ID, go to the app settings and find the "About" section. You can access the app settings by tapping the gear icon in the main menu at the bottom of the screen.
  • Application Issues in VR Mode: Crashes, Tracking Problems, and Controller Issues (Steam)
    Try changing the system's active OpenXR runtime. You can do this in the settings of the SteamVR application. Follow these steps: Open SteamVR > Settings > Enable Advanced > Developer > Switch OpenXR runtime to SteamVR
  • Can I download videos from a website and watch them later?
    Depending on their terms and conditions, many websites allow users to download videos for offline viewing. Downloaded videos can be found in the "Download Manager" of our app, which you can access by tapping the cloud icon in the main menu.
  • Can I download files on different devices and then open them in PLAY'A?
    PLAY'A allows you to easily access and enjoy local media files directly within the app. Tap the "folder" icon on the main menu to open the file explorer, browse your device’s storage, and select the files you want to play. PLAY'A will automatically detect the format and start playback. Please note that the process may vary by device. For further assistance, contact our customer support.
  • The buttons on my controller aren’t working.
    If you're experiencing controller issues, the input profile may be incorrect or not set up. Here’s how to address it: Check for a pink dot: If your controller isn't detected, a pink dot will appear in the center of the display. Use your head to move it to any button. To activate auto-click on a button, simply hold the dot on it for a few seconds. You can use this method to navigate within the app without controllers. Navigate and set up: Use auto-click to go to Settings > Input > Run Configuration. Choose your controller: The System Configuration Wizard will appear, allowing you to select your controller type. Following these steps should help resolve controller issues. If the problem persists, please contact our customer support for further assistance.
  • How do I reset my PIN (password) for the App?
    To change your PIN, uninstall and reinstall the app. Note that this will remove all downloaded content, websites, and playlists.
  • I can't play videos or high-resolution videos.
    Are you having trouble playing high-resolution videos on your VR headset connected to your PC? This could be due to missing codecs on your computer. To fix this, download the appropriate K-Lite codec pack for your system from codecguide.com. Additionally, make sure to install HEVC.
  • How do I activate passthrough mode?
    The passthrough feature is currently available only on Quest 2, Quest 3, and Quest Pro. Activating Passthrough in PLAY'A: Main Menu: Press the "eye" icon on the app's main menu. Video Settings: While playing a video, tap the gear icon. Go to Passthrough Settings and enable it using the eye icon. Select "From Video" for optimal passthrough. Note: Not all videos support passthrough. For more information, contact the support team of the website hosting the video. If your video doesn't support passthrough but has a one-color background, you can enable it manually: While playing a video, tap the gear icon to access settings. Change Mode: Select "Chroma Key" mode in the "Passthrough" tab. Adjust Settings: Use the Eyedrop tool to choose the background color and adjust the range and smoothness sliders. Experiment: Try different settings for the best results.
  • Why can't I see the videos I've added to my 'Favorites' playlist on the website in the PLAY'A app?
    PLAY'A lets you organize and customize your VR content with its custom playlist feature. You can create a playlist for each website you open in the app, provided the website supports this feature. To access your custom playlists, tap the playlist icon on the main menu while viewing the website in the app. Please note that playlists created on the website are separate from those created within the PLAY'A app.
  • How can I change the download directory?
    If you want to change the download directory, go to the app settings, select "General," and find "Save downloads to".
  • How can I adjust a video's brightness, color, contrast, and other settings?
    Take control of your viewing experience with PLAY'A's picture adjustments. Tap the gear icon while playing a video and select 'Picture Adjustments.' You can customize brightness, color, contrast, and more.
  • How can I adjust the camera tilt, height, or zoom in the PLAY'A app?
    To adjust camera tilting, height, or zoom, follow these steps: Access the settings menu: Click the "gear" icon while playing a video. Select "Video Adjustments": Find this option in the side menu. Make your changes: Adjust the desired settings in the menu that appears. You can also set up hotkeys for quicker adjustments like zoom in/out, camera height, and more. Go to the "Hotkeys" section in the app settings to configure these options.
  • When I recenter the view, it stays at the horizon level. How can I adjust it to center vertically?
    By default, recentering aligns your view with where you're looking, keeping it level. To recenter both vertically and horizontally, go to the app settings, select 'Input,' and adjust the 'Recenter keeps horizon' option. This allows you to use our app while lying down.
