    We welcome everyone. Here we will publish answers to frequently asked questions. We will update this list periodically.
  • Can't download the App for Oculus Quest 2
    There are few ways to make it work: • Go to your phone, go to the Oculus App, search for PLAY'A and download it from there, it will then load up on your Oculus Quest2. • Or you can go to the following link from your Oculus Quest browser and download it from there: https://www.oculus.com/experiences/quest/3447691518693868/ You can also go to www.playavr.com from the quest browser and pick the Quest headset and then it will take you to the download. • Download our APP from the AppLab. How to do it: 1. Turn on the headset 2. Open the “store” tab inside your dashboard. 3. Search there “PLAY’A video player” 4. In search result you will see “App Lab” and the button “view app”. 5. Choose our app from the list and click on “view details” 6. Then download the App. 7. After you download it, you will see it in your « Apps » section.   • "App is not available in your country" (AppStore)
    Currently our APP is not available on IOS. We should release a new version soon, which will be available for IOS, please stay tuned. As an alternative, you can download our App on Steam and use it on your computer: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1114420/PLAYA_VR__Video_Player/
  • “The website is already added, but I can’t find it anywhere in the App” (Message inside the App)
    Please check out "Security" tab in "Settings" in our App. There you should “Allow NSFW content”, then all sites should appear.
  • "Can't detect API" (Message inside the App)
    Probably the website is not connected to PLAY’A App :( Our app is being used with many websites via an API system, we have no control over the sites that are integrated with our App. If you are looking to add a specific website or download videos, please contact the website you are trying to download from.
  • How to see full videos, not trailers?
    To see full videos you need to login into the website you want to watch. How it works: First of all, add a website you want to watch: • Go to "WEB" at the bottom of the main screen. • Click on "Add a Website" Once the website is added: • In the list of added websites, next to the desired website you will find the icon of the Account. Click on that icon and put there your login details. See screenshot: Then you will see full video instead of trailers.
  • How to find your device ID?
    You will find it inside PLAY'A App. Go to Settings > About tab> Device ID Here:
  • How to turn off the background music?
    1. Inside the app, go to Settings > General > Audio 2. There you will be able to regulate all types of audio inside the App: General will turn off all kind of sound in the App Buttons volume - buttons' sounds Environment volume - sound of the gramophone and the street (this is the background sound) Video player volume - regulates the sound of the playing video
  • How to turn off the resume playback function?
    1. Inside the app go to Settings > Player 2. Switch off the Resume Playback 3. Now the app will ask you if you want to resume playback every time you start the video
  • The application is not working in VR mode, crashes at the start, the VR headset does not receive tracking, or controllers don’t work (Steam)
    Try changing the system's active OpenXR runtime. You can do it in the settings of the SteamVR application. Follow these steps: Open SteamVR > Settings > Enable Advanced > Developer > Switch OpenXR runtime to SteamVR
  • Can I watch the video that I downloaded from somewhere?
    Yes, you are able to watch a downloaded video through our App, just download it from any site and go to your "Local File" section inside PLAY'A App. It will show your file explorer: All supported video formats attached:
  • My controller buttons don't work!
    1. Inside the app go to Settings > Controllers 2. Click on "Reset to defaults" 3. Assign new hotkeys to functions
  • How to add a website?
    • Go to "WEB" at the bottom of the main screen. • Click on "Add a Website" You might need to login in to have an access to the full content database. • In the list of added websites, next to the desired website you will find the icon of the Account. Click on that icon and put there your login details. See screenshot:
  • How to login into the website I added?
    Once the website is added: • In the list of added websites, next to the desired website you will find the icon of the Account. Click on that icon and put there your login details. See screenshot: Now you logged in!
  • How to reset my pin (password) for the App?
    Remove and install again our App. Note: all downloaded content will be removed.
