App launches but no controller input for pressing buttons. Stuck on Library screen. I can't look up Device ID because can't access Settings within the app. I have a Quest 2.
Q2 here. After installing i have a screen that asks me to set up input but my controllers seem to be blocked completely, not even the oculus button does anything, the only way to get out is to restart the whole thing
Yes, we’re working on a solution. The update will most likely be released before the New Year, but the issue turned out to be a bit more complex than we initially expected.
my controller on quest 3 works for all apps EXCEPT play'a. i have no hand controller input and the red dot over settings doesn't open settings. this app is ridiculous
My hand controller works on all other apps I use just not Play'a so it is definitely some problem with PLAY'A app. I can't be the only one with this issue so where is a guide to get it to work?? bizarre
It looks like the input profile has been set up incorrectly or wasn't set up at all. If your controller is not detected, you should see a pink dot in the middle of the display. Point this dot by moving your head at any button and hold it there for a few seconds to trigger an auto-click. You can use this method to navigate within the app without controllers.
Please go to Settings > Input > Run Configuration. The System Configuration Wizard will appear, allowing you to choose your type of controller.
How long until this fix is released, it's been happening for months and still no fix.
Occasionally the controls work, but for example, when a video is started then from then on the controllers go inactive. Only action is to press Menu and return to Steam VR home.
